The Fast & Furry Recap

It was another fun and furry year at the 5th annual Fast & Furry 5k and 8k races and pet expo.

The pet-friendly races were held at Harriet Island and it was a gorgeous day for a run with your pooch. Again this year, People & Pets Together was a benefiting charity. In addition to the money we received from race registration, 14 runners chose us as their charity and raised $3,725 in pledges.

Our team of volunteers at the People & Pets Together booth educated race goers about our mission and handed out loads of dog treats to the four legged runners. We had t-shirts for sale, and for a donation, visitors to our booth could spin our Spinny Wheel and win fun prizes.

Thank you to Uptempo Racing’s Kris and Mark for inviting us to partner on this event and supporting our work for a fourth year in a row. And we are so grateful for the runners, their dogs and our amazing volunteers for making this event continued success.
