In June, People & Pets Together was fortunate to participate in the Give Twin Cities/Minnesota Monthly fundraising challenge. Throughout the month, our friends and families donated a total of $4,295. In addition, we won two $500 donations from the bonus challenge prize sponsor, the Lynn Johnson Family Foundation, for a grand total of $5,295.
The prize for the top fundraising team was $25,000, 2nd place: $15,000 and 3rd place: $10,000. The competition was fierce, approximately 30 non-profits were vying for the top three spots. At one point People & Pets Together was in 3rd place. But, alas, our closet competition pulled ahead and in the end beat us out for 3rd place.
We are grateful for all the donations, and even though we didn’t win the top prize, the donations we received will help us provide low-cost vaccination clinics.
